In 2012, Michael joined the Oldfather Law Firm as an attorney after working as an intern during law school. His practice is focused on complex civil litigation including medical malpractice, wrongful death, products liability and personal injury. He has handled a number of complex, multi-party cases involving a wide range of issues and has helped obtain many favorable results for his clients. He was counsel in a products liability case involving a hunting tree stand case resulting in a jury verdict of $18.5 million and counsel representing a number of firefighters for overtime pay that resulted in a favorable jury verdict.

Outside of the office, Michael enjoys running and spending time with his wife Lauren Hasken and two young boys, Zachary and Brayden.
